How this site makes money

Mortgage License Hub earns a commission when a reader enrolls with certain course providers through a link on this site. Today that applies to Aceable Mortgage and The CE Shop. The provider pays it out of its own marketing budget. The price you pay is the same either way, and it is the same price you would pay going to the provider directly.

Does it cost you more?

No. A commission is paid by the provider out of what you already paid it. Nothing is added to your cost for having arrived here, and this site sells nothing of its own.

Does this affect the rankings?

In one specific way, and this is it. The default ordering of every course comparison on this site puts the providers we partner with above the rest. That is the only thing a commercial relationship changes here. Everything else is straight: every price is the provider's own published list price on the date shown, never a sale price and never adjusted; every hour requirement comes from the state regulator or the education table published by the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System; and a provider that pays us is judged against the same requirement, with the same gaps called out, as one that does not. You can re-sort any comparison by price or by name at any time, which removes the default ordering completely. Providers we have no relationship with are listed on the same data as our partners. They just do not lead the default view.

How a paid link is marked

A link that can earn this site money carries rel="sponsored", which is the attribute search engines read as a paid link. It is applied from a single list of providers with a live, signed program, so a provider we are merely talking to can never pick it up by accident. Any page carrying such a link also carries a notice above it. That is enforced by the build, not by remembering: a page that ships a sponsored link with no notice above it fails to build.

The CE Shop partnership

Affiliate has an agreement with The CE Shop to promote online course information to consumers, real estate licensees, and MLO Licensees. Affiliate is not the developer of these courses and is simply providing a referral. All education is provided by The CE Shop and any questions regarding course content or course technology should be directed to The CE Shop.

What we will not do

Change a recorded price, hide a cheaper provider, drop a provider that competes with a partner, or invent a rating. If a partner is the wrong choice for your state, the comparison will show that, because a comparison that cannot tell you not to buy is not worth reading and is the fastest way to lose the only thing this site has.
